TESTIMONIALS

Shawn Byrnes, General Manager, T-Mobile

Tammy did a great job launching the Michigan market for Metro PCS. She is particularly adept at developing brand equity/identity with target customers, as she did for Metro in the Michigan market. Tammy identified and negotiated key sponsorships for the region, resulting in increased market share for the company. Tammy is also very creative; she devised and implemented several multi-media campaigns specific to our market that resulted in increased sales through our dealer and direct store channels. She is not bound by conventional thinking, and is able to find cost effective, creative ways to enhance brand image and increase brand impressions.

TESTIMONIALS

Andrew Rucker, Market Leader, T-Mobile

While I have had the opportunity to lead or work along side many talented marketing leaders over the course of my career, Tammy Capone Stanard goes to the top of the list. Her ability to evaluate and negotiate marketing / sponsorship opportunities in the best interest of her company has earned her a well respected and great reputation, and puts her in the best of class category of what she does.

Kate Sheehy, Business Development Manager

Private LTE and Wireless Solutions, Communication Technology Servicess, LLC (CTS)

It has been a real pleasure to work with Tammy on several different marketing initiatives. Tammy is a very creative and knowledgeable person who helped us to look at new ideas and implement them with exceptional attention to detail and follow up. I really enjoyed working with Tammy and give her my highest recommendation.

Q & A

Q&A

Why did you choose your profession?

I originally set out to be a commercial airline pilot, which was a really outside the box choice for a senior at an all-girls high school. I have always loved traveling and I loved flying small Pipers during college, but I graduated during a recession and finding a job seemed more prudent than continuing on with flight school. I decided to try sales and searched for companies with an innovative product. From sales, I landed in customer service, and then marketing analytics. I was in sales and marketing for many years and transitioned to project management.

Who are your main influences?

I am generally guided by my faith. I have respected Steven Covey’s work and have made an effort to live by the Seven Habits. Another great influence on me is my husband, he is the most positive person I know.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

I am proudest of my accomplishments in education and my love of learning. I’d say my greatest accomplishment is starting a business, which was a complete change of direction in my career. My next greatest accomplishment was selling the business when I realized it wasn’t right for me. The lessons I learned owning a small business are really invaluable.

What tools do you use?

Any tool that can help me be more effective and efficient. I love CRM tools like Salesforce, design tools like Canva, and I don’t mind turning a screw driver either.

What are you working on right now?

Most recently, I was a Transformational Project Lead in the US Chief Transformation Office at Kyndryl. As a result of a reduction in workforce, I am currently searching for a new opportunity where I can make a positive impact through projects focused on sustainability, technology, and/or change management.

What are your long-term goals?

My long-term goals are to continue to grow in my career and to learn new things, specifically Power BI and Python.

Do you live by any piece of advice or motto?

I try to remember, the quote by Helen Keller, “When one door of happiness closes, another one opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about sustainability. Waste drives me crazy. I am passionate about good design, in products and homes. I am also passionate about education, especially as it relates to empowering people.

What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute to your success and why?

I am honest. I continuously work on being a better listener. When I want something, I am not afraid to work for it.

What is the one thing you need to know about your co-workers?

I want to know that my co-workers are really on the same team.

Do you have a favorite season?

There is something that I appreciate about every season. Summer used to be my favorite, but I’m more drawn to fall now. I love the crisp mornings and warm afternoons.

Who inspires you and why?

I am inspired by doing good and helping people. I love being able to help someone, it brings a joy that I wish everyone experienced.

What life circumstance has most changed your world view?

I lost someone dear to me about 20 years ago and it changed my life and most definitely changed my world view.

If you were an action figure, what accessories would you be sold with?

If I were an action figure, I would be sold with a cricut machine and vinyl so I could make something for everyone I helped.
